Wow! I can't believe it has been 4 days already! Time flies when you're working all the time now. :) LOL First week of my job went well though, and I think I should acclimate and fit in and all that good stuff. I hope! Cross your fingers for me also because I'm going to be taking some pictures for a possible article on Trendhunter.com for unique cat beds. Yay! After that I am going back to making a color change pattern for a Tunisian crochet bag. I want it to be super cute, kawaii even, but I'm stuck on the imagery. I want to do something simple to start, but do I want to try an actual anime character or a kawaii character? Choices, choices. If you have suggestions at all I'd love to hear them. Gamer Gyrl posted some great pictures of Nintendo inspired crochet pieces. The first picture is actually Gege Crochet ( mentioned in an earlier blog) and her Nintendo blanket. I didn't post a pic last time but I will now so you all can get the gyst of what I want to learn.
I have ants in my pants cause I'm finishing up some orders before I start on any new projects, but I totally can't wait to show you my first crack at this.
On to #15 of the 30 days of anime list: Post a cute Neko-girl. Easiest one on the list for me, as I consider the original cute Neko-girl to be Felicia from Darkstalkers. Sure, there's those anime characters that put the cat ears on and the fake tails and bells, but Felicia is the real McCoy. :D Plus I love love Darkstalkers and any way I can get them on the list I will.
Random rantings of a senile 30 something who's still a kid at heart. Music,Art, Crafting, Animals. I better get it all down now before I forget tomorrow!

30 days of anime Day 14
Post your current or most recent wallpaper:
The whole premise of this show is just weird. Right up my alley. If you aren't into a lot of sexual innuendo and weirdness though it's probably not for you.( exhibit A: The gun is Panty's panties and the blade is Stocking's stocking. Following me? Yup, didn't think so. LOL) I would choose this as my most recent wallpaper as I love how the animation style varies on the show from mature to "Powerpuff girl". It flows really well on the show.

30 days of Anime Day 13
Hi there! Well I finally feel like a productive member of society again! Launched a new blog and Facebook page, as well as listed a couple of new items. As you can see on the right I listed the clutch and a new smaller version of my Neko Chigura inspired pet caves. This one is my smallest one, and great for mice, hamsters, gerbils and such. I found a good use for my cats' mouse toys, as they are only interested in playing with some loose bottlecap that fell on the floor or that scrap piece of yarn that didn't make it to the trash bin. I have this pink theme going on lately. I'm not entirely sure when pink became my favorite color; I'm pretty sure I despised it at one point ( during the dreaded goth stage LOL), but now anytime I'm shopping around on Etsy or in the craft store I'm like, "Oooh, that's a cute shade of pink!" For shame. ;)
Anyways, today's anime topic is to display a Cosplay picture of your ‘waifu’ or Husbando’
I personally am a fan of cosplay. I have tried on a few occasions to make my own costumes and have worn them to Comic Book conventions, but I'm not a great seamstress or anything so I refuse to do it again unless it's really well done. (Looking back some of my cosplays have been absolutely horrid LOL. I totally admit it and I learned my lesson!) Last year I dressed up as Ichigo from the movie Kamikaze Girls which turned out pretty well though. It was pretty much my best one.
I even managed to find those identical red glasses, and I had a long hamaka like skirt and identical shoes. I love her character and the Yankee style of clothing she wears, plus it's a pretty easy look to put together. If I ever do it again though I'm gonna cave and get a costume made.
Anyways, here's what awesome cosplay looks like. I chose Sebastian Michaelis from Kuroshitsuji :
This would be my faux husband because well, I'd never have to worry about cleaning again, I'd be waited on hand and foot, and if anyone ever messed with me, he's a demon. So there. LOL

30 days of anime day 12 and My Newest Endeavor.
Day 12- Post an ecchi picture from your favorite series. Hrmm....this one is highly inappropriate as ecchi pretty much means perverted, but here is a provocative picture of Misa from Death Note that is considered slightly ecchi (maybe more like implied) but not too over the top. ;)
Yup. BTW This list isn't generated by me, it's something that has been going around the net for a while. I'm not sure where it originated from, but I thought it would be fun to participate in. ;)
Anyhooze, big news today. In previous posts I may have mentioned one of my Etsy Teams, For The Love Of Small Animals. Well today I got their blog up and running as well as a Facebook page. I am having a logo professionally done. Mine turned out ok but I really like CandyGraphics' work so I'm looking forward to revamping the pages once that's all set.
If you are fan of all pets tiny and such, like rabbits, ferrets, mice, rats, gerbils, guinea pigs etc. Check out this group. I conducted my first interview on rat rescue and really want this to be a place where people can not only share their art, but their own personal stories as well. So be sure to Follow this blog, and like our Facebook page! http://ftlosa.blogspot.com/

I'm going to try not to make it a hot mess like this blog. LOL And I won't forget about you, my lucky 13. ;)

30 days of Anime Day 11 and My Finished Tunisian Clutch
Hello all! Well today I will start off by showing you the finished Tunisian crochet project I started on so long ago.....
I think it turned out pretty cute. I used a magnetic clasp for this clutch but I'm unsure if I will use them in the future. Since it's attached to yarn I was concerned it may be tricky to open the flap, but I did reinforce that area so that it wouldn't tug on the yarn when you opened it. I think the magnetic clasp looks nice plus it's super easy to attach as you can just bash the flaps down with a hammer as opposed to sewing. I mean, who doesn't like whacking things with a blunt object from time to time? ... *ahem*.... anyways...
So that's that. This will be listed in the shop soon and I hope to have some others as well. I found a great tutorial on color changing with Tunisian crochet via http://gegecrochet.blogspot.com/ and I would love to try a large blanket or something with my Chii friendship bracelet pattern that I did a while back...
I also made this L pattern that probably would be super cute for a bag. :)
ALSO ;) I have an Adventure Time themed pet something-or-other I am working the kinks out on that I hope to show you all soon. Now that I got a FULL TIME JOB (Yay!) I will be able to actually get some yarn and make this stuff. LOL
Also, hopefully this means I am coming out of my creative brick wall that I seemed to have run into last month. *fingers crossed*
Now onto today's anime topic : Favorite mech series. Hands down for me It's The Big O.
This has all the elements I like in good anime: post-apocalyptic themes, film-noir, unique story-telling elements, and perhaps some subtle sexual tension between a man and female android ( Is this a thing for me? LOL). It's just one of those shows ( like Buffy, or Xena for me) where I'm like, "Man, I miss that show. I could totally watch that again." and just generally bummed that it ended. Might be something good to watch while I get a move on some of these projects ;)

30 days of Anime day 10 and My Top 5 Blogs
Hey loyal followers. I'm sad that my blog posts have been kind of sporadic lately. And the shop has kind of gone to the wayside too. See, I've been making a career change recently and trying to find a good job that pays the bills ain't all it's cracked up to be. Recently I got a job at a big name craft store. I thought with the hours and pay they told me, as well as the position, it would be a great way to get my feet wet in terms of doing new things. Plus I get to talk to people about arts and crafts and discounts don't hurt either. Then I got my schedule. 12 hours a week??!! Totally not what we talked about. Sheesh. I knew there was a reason I got out of retail all those years ago. So I've been pretty focused on trying to find a full time job lately. I finally got back to that Tunisian stitch project (although my hook went the way of the left sock so I decided to make it a clutch rather than the purse I planned. Once I get a button fastened I'll be posting that. I've been trying to come up with new ideas and executing them as well. So I'm looking forward to putting my energy back into the shop and blog. I feel better knowing I'm not alone. I know a few people on Etsy that are having the same issues with their shops. I suppose that is the good thing about Etsy; that you can kind of run it at your own pace. But anyways, I digress. ;)
Today's anime topic is: Favorite Slice of Life anime.
It has to be for me: Chi's Sweet Home
This, and Chi's New Address, are some of the freaking cutest anime shows I have ever seen. I mean, it's about a lost kitten. A cute, lost, goofy, anime kitten. :D An overload of animal goodness. LOL. If you haven't checked it out, it is available online at Watchanimeon.com
Also, I thought I would post the top 5 blogs I am reading right now. They either inspire me in my craft, give me ideas for a better blog, or are relate-able to me in some personal way. Enjoy!
1)I'd Like Cheese on My Entire Family - Hilarious blog! I can never wait until the next post comes; because she takes a snippet from her everyday life, illustrates it, and tells a funny story with it. TOTALLY worth following
2) La Carmina - If you are one of my followers that loves Japanese subculture and fashion like I do, and you don't know about this blog, you are missing out. There are always fabulous new finds and interesting stories. Plus I always love the pictures of her cat. Cute! This is another woman who has taken her love for unique fashion, music, and culture and used it to totally segway into other avenues: TV, Designing, Journalism and much more. So inspiring!
3) The Fabulous Animal Rescue Project- A collective group of artists that donate a percentage of their arts and craft sales to animals in need. There is always cool new art to look at, rescue stories, and tips to help do your part. Check them out!
4)Samantha Conklin - Not only is she a dear friend, but she's an amazing artist. Her new blog really goes into ways that she experiments with different media and it's always exciting to see what she comes up with!
5) Dorothy: Locked and Loaded - I just started reading this, and I have to say, I love it! It is a combination of different writers, telling the tale of Dot, Dorothy's granddaughter and her experiences in Oz, and friends, it is not pretty. LOL It's just straight up story-telling and I think a great use of a blog! And yes, Toto is her gun.
Hope you all enjoyed today's lengthy blog. It was long overdue ;) Much Love until next time!

30 Days of Anime day 9 and Anime Amigurumi Showcase
Hello, Hello again :)
Today's anime topic is Saddest Anime Scene. :/ Awwwww.
After much deliberation, although technically this isn't the end of the series ( it gets much sadder!) I would say the end of Nana. Live action or anime series, you can pick. But the live action one is the one that really made me burst into tears. But what a sad series of events throughout this whole thing ( the glasses scene...:*( *cries*). Try to think about the happy times, Amanda....think. about. the. happy. times. LOL
I have to say I love love the live action movies more than the anime. Naturally because I am a huge Mika Nakashima fan. I mean, she IS Nana Osaki.
I'm sure there are some sadder ones out there. I cried at the end of Noein as well. I hear Cowboy Beebop's ending is pretty sad, or Elfin Lied, but I haven't seen the ends of those. (for shame).
Let me know if you have a sad one to share. Everyone can use a good cry every once in a while..
Also, I realize I haven't done a lot of crafty stuff on here lately so I wanted to share my treasury of anime related amigurumi from various people on Etsy :) Yayz!
and a few other nifities for good measure. ;)This treasury will be listed on my blog: http://comicalandcrafty.blogspot.com/
